What is a Merchant Lending Program?Merchant Lending programs (also known as Commercial Lending programs) are contractually-executed, relatively low-risk financial products. The lender (usually, an individual) loans funds to a merchant which has been highly vetted by our real estate team. That money is used by the merchant as capital to invest in their business or business property. These are very short-term loans with a maturity date of four years to six years depending upon the program and strategy.
The lender will sign a short-term loan agreement with terms which will offer a competitive interest rate which is stated as a fixed interest amount for the time period. Our programs offer either deferred growth of the interest (paid at the end of the loan term) or the ability to take quarterly interest distribution payments. Each loan is backed up by an asset-backed agreement which is collateralized by the associated property of the merchant. Attributes of Merchant Lending
